Hackers- Threat or assest to computer security?
Hackers that use their skills for good are classified as “white hat”, where these white hats often work as certified “Ethical Hackers,” hired by companies to test the integrity of their systems. Others have operated without company permission by bending but not breaking laws and in the process. Hackers already know most home computer security system are much weaker than commercial banking sites so all they need is your credit or debit card number, which is easier to get from your computer than from the bank. Hackers may have started off with an “us against the machine” type of mentality, but this is no longer the case.
