Locking down your wireless internet connection
I was recently over at a friend’s place who has recently installed a new wireless network connection. One of the problems he was complaining about was the fact that his bandwidth had already been consumed without him using the internet more than a couple of times. I checked his plan out and it seemed to have a reasonable bandwidth allocation. The next thing I checked was his settings. I discovered that he had not changed some settings or made his connection secure. Wireless security problems can occur if you do not take appropriate precaution to lock down your system.
