Workplace Harassment - Prevention Training and Counseling
The Department of Crime Control and Public Safety is the organization which handles the prevention of unlawful workplace harassment and retaliation. They are also responsible for correcting these violations. A training program which was designed by the Office of State Personnel, Equal Opportunity Services Division is for supervisors, managements, and employees as well. It was designed to create good relations for the purpose of productivity in the workplace. Counseling is also available through the State Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Often times employees who are victims of workplace harassment end up with problems such as absenteeism and low productivity which tend to be stress related.
